The course is designed as a five-day course. Depending on jurisdictional requirements, the actual practical application training will consist of exercises, experiments and a written examination. The course is designed to be conducted from 0800 to 1600 hours daily, and may require schedule changes to accommodate ride-along with officers and public communication center call-takers and dispatchers
